THE MONEY SHOP ACQUIRES NEW STORE IN PENGE
The Money Shop, the UK's number one instant cash provider, has acquired a new store in Penge. The store, located on 159 High Street will offer the full range of Money Shop consumer financial products and services.
Aga Gorska, Penge Store Manager said: "I'm really excited about heading up the two-strong team at the newly acquired store, which will help build consumer awareness of the Money Shop brand.
"The services we will offer in store will include payday loans, foreign exchange, pawnbroking, ‘Gold to Cash', cheque cashing, Pre-paid cards and Western Union money transfers."
The Money Shop, part of publicly listed American company, Dollar Financial, has been established on the UK high street for 14 years. The acquisition of this new store in Penge further expands the Money Shop's UK pawn broking business, which with over 350 stores is the largest store network of pawnbrokers in the UK.
The Money Shop opened its first store in Nottingham in 1996 and now employs over 1500 people across its network, serving over 450,000 customers a year often in communities which have been vacated by traditional banks and post offices.
