 01/02/2008 - Del Boy launches Bling and Buy Sale
People turned out in force today to see legendary TV-character Derek Trotter (Del Boy) launch the first ever ‘Bling & Buy' sale at the Money Shop on.
Just like Del lookalike Maurice Canham, anyone can call into the Money Shop with their gold or jewellery items and have them valued by the team of specialist experts who are on hand at the branch to evaluate gold and jewellery in terms of weight, carat and hallmark. Old gold or jewellery could even be turned into instant cash, as the Money Shop team will make a cash offer on the item based on in the form of a loan.
The price of gold has reached yet another all-time high, hitting $914 an ounce. The weak dollar has also boosted the metal, as this makes it cheaper for holders of other currencies.
